Liason & co-operation

Royal Jelling works together with several other mu­seums which tell their own individual story of the Danish viking period. For example, the Trel­le­borg Viking Castle near Slagelse, built during the reign of Harald Blue-tooth, illustrates the life & times of the fortress.

The Ladby Ship Museum, part of Kerteminde Mu­se­um, has an exciting story to tell. The Ladby ship is the only existing ship-burial in Denmark and con­tains the remains of a high-rank burial, covered by a huge grave mound.

The museum “ Ribe Vikings “ is part of the An­ti­qui­ties Collection of Ribe. The story of daily life in Den­marks oldest town is told, from the Viking period thro to the Middle Ages.

High-schools near Jelling

Royal Jelling works in close co-operation with two high-schools in the area. These are Brandbjerg High-School and Vejle High-School for sport.

Travel

In co-operation with Inge Mols Travel, Royal Jelling can offer holidays with a strong cultural and hi­sto­ri­cal theme, with several of UNESCOs World Heritage sites on the agenda. In 2008 journey to  Island is planned.
